This section of the web site will be forever "under construction". We will be posting information and lots of pictures about our current housing projects in Real Estate Development so that you can follow their progress. It is exciting and nerve wracking to get projects from scratches on paper, to approvals, and then to the point we can start a foundation. It is even more fun to see the progress while our contractor partners build.
When we say projects, we are referring to affordable housing whether it be rental units that we will build and rent to low-to-moderate income households or new or rehabbed homes for purchase. Each project is unique. For example, we will be breaking ground soon on 11 homes that mark a few firsts for us: 1st housing we've built outside the city of Ithaca, the 1st condominium-style housing we've built, and 1st time that we'll have so many houses for sale at one time.
Other qualities of the real estate in development mark our mission-driven commitment to address long-term sustainability. Sustainability the INHS way means that our "real estate" will be very energy-efficient, affordably priced, designed for low maintenance, and located close to services, jobs, and transportation.
